Movement Festival – Final Stage of the HEPA Olympics Project Held in Suceava

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, the “Ion Creangă” Secondary School in Suceava hosted the final stage of the sports and recreational activities carried out within the European project HEPA Olympics. The event took the form of a large‑scale Movement Festival, bringing together 120 teachers from across Suceava County and marking a significant milestone in promoting an active lifestyle within the educational environment.

Participants represented the following educational institutions: Siminicea Secondary School; “Simion Florea Marian” Secondary School Ilișești; “Petru Comarnescu” Secondary School Gura Humorului; “Ion Creangă” Secondary School Suceava; “Miron Costin” Secondary School Suceava; Secondary School No. 4 Suceava; “Mihai Eminescu” Technological High School Dumbrăveni; Suceava Sports Program High School; “Dimitrie Cantemir” Economic College Suceava; “Petru Mușat” Technical College Suceava; “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Technical College Suceava; and the Technical College of Food Industry Suceava.

Teachers from the Suceava County Center for Educational Resources and Assistance also took part in the activities, the institution having provided specialized pedagogical training throughout the project.

The festival featured 12 sports and recreational workshops, designed to enhance and develop participants’ motor skills and physical abilities. The activities were coordinated by the project’s selected Sports Ambassadors, who demonstrated strong organizational skills and expertise in physical activity programming.

The program included volleyball, 3×3 basketball, tennis, badminton, pétanque, frisbee, dance, martial arts (capoeira), fitness, kendama, rhythm and coordination games, as well as applied movement circuits.

A particularly noteworthy aspect of the event was that the 120 participants were not physical education teachers, yet they showed remarkable openness, involvement, and enthusiasm throughout all activities. The festival atmosphere reflected the joy of movement, teamwork, and a shared desire to integrate physical activity into both professional and personal life.

The HEPA Olympics Festival concluded with an awards ceremony, during which all participants received personalized medals. In addition, HEPA Ambassadors and the educational institutions involved in the project’s implementation were formally recognized.

The HEPA Olympics project is an Erasmus+ initiative coordinated by BG BeActive, with Suceava County Association “Sport for All” as a partner, alongside the “Sport for All” Association Serbia. The project aims to promote Health‑Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) and to foster a culture of movement within the educational community.

Through the organization of this festival, the Association Sport for All Suceava reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that increase physical activity levels and strengthen an active, healthy educational community.
